On Saturday, May 14 between 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m, Bakersfield Police Department conducted a DUI / Driver’s License Checkpoint in the 1300 block of Union Avenue.
1,267 vehicles were screened by officers and 4 drivers were detained to be further evaluated to determine their sobriety level.
The Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Section arrested a total of 1 driver for driving under the influence of alcohol and 49 drivers were cited for no driver’s license or driving on a suspended license.
