BAKERSFIELD, CA. — Bakersfield Police Department has partnered up with Kern County Superintendent of Schools to host an easter egg hunt for blind and visually impaired students.
"It's something that we started four years ago and the students and parents are really grateful for it," says Officer Orozco.
The students are parterned with a BPD officer to help find the easter eggs created by the BPD bomb squad.
The eggs beep so the students can find them by just hearing, not looking.
The event is happening at the Bakersfield Police Activities League in Downtown Bakersfield from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
