BPD: Former West High student-athlete dies from stabbing

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A former West High School student-athlete was stabbed during a fight in a parking lot in Southwest Bakersfield and has died from his injuries.

According to Bakersfield Police, as of February 14, Aaran Porter passed away as a result of his injuries.

Police say that murder charges are being sought against all five suspects in the case and that Armani Bonner and Donnie Nolen are still outstanding.

According to BPD, on Sunday, February 2 around 1:10 a.m., BPD responded to a report of a stabbing in the 7400 block of District Boulevard in Southwest Bakersfield. BPD says 18-year-old Porter was involved in a "large fight" in the parking lot and was stabbed. Porter suffered major injuries.
