BPD holds DUI and license checkpoint

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department held a DUI checkpoint Friday night.

Officials screened over 1,400 cars on Calloway Drive near Brimhall Road.

Police said one person was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Four drivers were cited for driving without a license and six motorists were found driving on a suspended license.
