UPDATE: On June 20, 2017 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Bakersfield Police Department officeres were dispatched to Kern Medical regarding a victim of a stabbing.
Officers located Ricardo Ruiz, 33, who was being treated for stab wounds. Ruiz is currently listed in critical condition.

The victim was transported to Kern Medical with moderate to major injuries.
There is no suspect description at this time.
