The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened overnight on N Street near 6th.
Police responded to the area around 12:00 a.m. to a loud party call with a report of a fight and shots fired.
They discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later transported to Kern Medical with serious injuries.
The initial suspect description provided was a Hispanic male, wearing a black sweatshirt.
The suspect fled from the scene, possibly on foot.
