The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on N Street near 6th at around midnight on Saturday.
Officers responded to the area after a report of a loud party and a fight with shots fired. They discovered an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officers believe that the suspect fled on foot. He was described as a Hispanic male wearing a black sweatshirt.
