BPD investigating Soni Food Store burglary in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a commercial robbery that took place at the Soni Food Store off Oswell and Bernard Street on Thursday, August 8th.

BPD says officers responded for an alarm call at the store around 3:26 a.m. Detectives determined it was burglary and are investigating. As of now they have not released suspect information, however 23ABC received exclusive video from a store manager. In the video you can see a white man wearing a bluish gray shirt and khaki shorts and carrying a blue bag.

BPD decribe the man as white, between the ages of 20 and 30-years old with a thin build.

The store manager says the man stole cigarettes, lighters, t-shirts and lottery tickets.

The man jumps into a white pickup truck with the license plate 6L8969.
