Police are investigating reports of a 15-year-old male victim possibly involved in a sexual relationship with a teacher's aide at Centennial High School.

According to court documents obtained by 23ABC, the victim's brother reported seeing sexual messages and photos on a phone given to the victim by the teacher's aide, 47-year-old Maria Valdez.

The victim asked the teacher's aide to send photos, and she did so both clothed and unclothed, according to the brother. They also had three live video conversations using the phone unclothed.

The victim also went to the teacher's aide's home on multiple occasions and participated in sexual activities.

A search warrant has been issued on the cell phone for the investigation.

Valdez was placed on administrative leave on January 17, 2017, according to the Kern High School District. She began working at the school on May 18, 2015.
