BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield Police Department and the California Highway Patrol issued multiple citations Sunday as part of their effort to stop street racing in Bakersfield.
Officials said they made 15 traffic stops, issued 9 citations and impounded one vehicle.
Police said they also arrested one person for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
Additional operations are scheduled to take place in the coming weeks.
BPD said they are holding an in person meeting on street racing at Independence High School on Tuesday Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.
