Bakersfield police are partnering with the Bakersfield Police Activities League to host two summer Junior Police Academy sessions.
The first session from June 13 to July 6 is for children ages 11 to 13. The second session from July 18 to August 10 is for children ages 14 to 17.
Class sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon. The sessions will include presentations from guests of law enforcement agencies, hands-on practices and physical training.
The mission of the Academy is to provide recruits with a foundation for Law Enforcement.
