BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a man and took off in South Bakersfield.

According to police, just before 1 a.m. Wednesday a man was hit by a car in the area of South Chester and La France Drive. The man suffered major injuries and is in critical condition.

Officials say the driver of a 2016-2017 Honda Civic is still on the loose.
