The search is on for a man Bakersfield Police say robbed a Famous Footwear, forcing his way past an employee as he escaped.

According to Bakersfield Police, on March 12 a man entered Famous Footwear on Gosford Road, picked out "several pairs of shoes" then began running toward the front exit.

Police say an employee tried to stop the man, but was pushed into glass doors as the suspect ran off. The employee suffered minor injuries.

Police say the suspect is described as White, in his mid 30s. He's 5-foot-10, 170 pounds with a short brown beard.

He was last seen wearing a black hat, a grey and red Adidas sweater with dark green Adidas sweatpants and dark brown work boots.
