The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a suspect who tried to rob a Bakersfield smoke shop in April.

Police say that the suspect entered the Smoke Stop on White Lane at 4:45 p.m. on April 30 with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

When the clerk refused, the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5'7", between 140 and 160 pounds and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
