The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for assistance identifying a suspect wanted for carjacking.

According to police, on September 28, the suspect confronted a victim near 200 Coffee Road and demanded the keys to her vehicle. The suspect then fled in the stolen vehicle and his photo was captured on a red light camera at Coffee Road and Stockdale Highway.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s with black hair and a black goatee. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
