BPD looking for wanted suspect considered armed and dangerous

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield police are searching for a wanted suspect considered armed and dangerous.

On Thursday around 11:21 a.m. cops attempted to stop a car that suspect, Deon Hodge, was in. Officials said Hodge led officers on a hot pursuit and fled from the car in the area of Planz Park. Officers then proceeded to conduct a yard to yard search in that area for Hodge.

BPD says Hodge is currently wanted for felony evading, weapons violations, resisting arrest causing injury, and gang participation.

Kern County Secret Witness is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Cops are describing Hodge as a 26-year-old Black man 5’7” tall, 175 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing a gray polo shirt, blue jeans and missing a shoe Hodge is considered armed and dangerous.

If you see Hodge or have any information as to his whereabouts call 9-1-1 immediately.
