BPD looking for woman who may know information about 1976 cold case homicide

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a woman who might have information about a 1976 cold case homicide.

Officials said in 1976 Mark Revanaugh was shot and killed while working at the 7-Eleven on Chester Lane in Bakersfield.

According to BPD, an investigation revealed that a woman named Barbara Morris may have information relevant to the murder. At the time of the murder, Morris lived on Beryl Street in Bakersfield and she is believed to be in her 60’s today.

The Bakersfield Police Department Cold Case Unit said that it would like to speak with Barbara Morris about the murder. Barbara Morris or anyone who has information about where she might be or how she can be contacted is asked to call Bakersfield Police Detective Lance O’Nesky at (661)326-3275 or the Bakersfield Police Department at (661)327-7111.
