BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield Police responded to the area of Cottonwood Road and Padre Street on Friday, February 15 regarding a non-injury collision between a pickup truck and an unoccupied school bus just after 11:30 a.m.
A citizen informed police that one of the occupants of the truck fled to a nearby business with a firearm. When officers responded to that business, the suspect fled on foot and was apprehended soon after.
18-year-old Miguel Molina was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun in his waistband and a bag containing several hundred Xanax pills.
Molina was arrested for numerous firearms violations, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales, resisting arrest and two outstanding felony arrest warrants.
