Posted

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help identifying and locating a van, who detectives say was involved in an assault over the summer.

A person assaulted a victim with a firearm on August 19th in a parking lot located in the 2600 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue, just north of Bernard Street, Bakersfield Police said.

After the assault, the suspect fled in the suspect vehicle seen in the picture, police said.

The suspect vehicle, described as a white and tan colored Ford Windstar or Dodge Caravan, fled westbound on Columbus Street after the assault.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call Detective Fred Torres at (661) 326-3273 or the Bakersfield Department at (661) 327-7111.
