The Bakersfield Police Department is on scene of a stabbing in downtown Bakersfield. 

The call came in just before 6:30 a.m.

BPD says when officers arrived on scene, they found a man with stab wounds in front of the Bakersfield Hotel, located across the street from The Mint on 1207 19th Street. 

BPD says the man was transported to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. 

BPD has no suspect information at this time.
