BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield police say they believe alcohol was involved in a rollover crash on 24th and C streets just after 10 p.m. Monday night. Officials say this incident happened when the driver of a sedan was traveling eastbound on 24th Street, hit the curve and rolled over.

According to officials all eastbound lanes on 24th Street were impacted by the crash and traffic was diverted.

Police say the man driving the sedan was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He sustained moderate to major injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. According to BPD, it is believed both speed and alcohol are factors in this collision. The investigation is on-going.
