BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Police are assisting the Department of Homeland Security with an operation.

Police and federal agents are in the area of South Union Avenue and Curnow Road.

Paul Prince, Spokesperson for Homeland Security Investigations & Enforcement and Removal Operations, confirmed to 23ABC that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents conducted law enforcement actions in Bakersfield. According to Prince, there are no concerns for public safety and no further details are available at this time.
