Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department said on Friday that they are  continuing their investigation into a homicide that occurred back on January 17th.

Officials said the homicide took place on the 3000 block of Whitley Dr.

This past January, officers arrived to the scene when they found the victim, Edward Flemmings, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Flemmings later died as a result of his injury.

During the investigation, video surveillance was located which captured two subjects who are considered persons of interest only at this time.
