Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred on R. St. Sunday afternoon.
Bakersfield Police officials said at around 12:47 p.m. they responded to the 1200 block of R street after receiving a call of shots fired in that area.
BPD said when their officers circulated the area attempting to locate the location where the possible shots
were coming from, they located a man in the 600 block of California Avenue suffering from multiple bullet wounds.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information at this time.
