The Bakersfield Police Department responded to a fatal traffic collision in Northwest Bakersfield on Saturday.
BPD arrived at the scene shorty after 11:00 p.m. They found a pick-up truck that left the roadway and collided with an unoccupied crane in the construction area.
The driver was an adult male and suffered major injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if speed, alcohol, or drugs are factors in the collision. The incident is under investigation.
