BPD searching for man accused of touching himself inappropriately at the Panorama bluffs

A local woman, who asked to remain anonymous, tells 23ABC that she was running along the Panorama bluffs on Monday around 9 a.m. when she witnessed a man standing under a tree, inappropriately touching himself while watching another woman workout.

"I seen movements down there,” she said.

So she immediately dialed 9-1-1 then ran to tell the unsuspecting woman, who was at the center of it all, to tell her what she saw.

After filing a police report she went home and took to Facebook to share a photo that she had taken of the man. The post has since been shared over 2,000 times.

While she says she didn't feel threatened, the 22-year-old mother said she felt violated.

Now she wants to warn others that visit the popular jogging trail located on Panorama Drive, near Bakersfield College, to be safe.

"I don't want people to take action into their hands. I just want them to be aware. If you see him out in public call the police or take a picture of him if you see him doing something," she said.

BPD is investigating this case. If you have any information you are urged to give them a call at 661-327-7111.
