BPD searching for suspect linked to a boat, trailer theft in NW Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — BPD is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect linked to a boat and trailer theft in Northwest Bakersfield.

Officials say the crime happened in the 10400 block of Rosedale Highway on May 18 around 1:00 p.m. That's when the suspect allegedly drove into a storage yard and stole a boat and trailer.

Bakersfield police are looking for the suspect's truck which is being described as a lowered, dark colored (black or dark blue), mid 2000's model Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra, with chrome trim on the doors, extended cab, chrome wheels, and toolbox in the bed.

The stolen boat and trailer are still missing and are described as a 1998 Blue and white Bayliner Boat, #CF9002PE, Hull #USHA65CLF798 & 1998, White boat hauling trailer, CA License 4BE3528
