The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for robbery at a Smart and Final in Southwest Bakersfield.

On July 22, 2016 at around 7:15 p.m. a suspect went into the store at 4980 Stockdale Highway, put items in a backpack and tried to leave without paying.

He threatened to stab employees with a knife and fled on a bicycle when confronted. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s and 5’8” with short brown hair, a gray tank top, tan camouflage shorts, and a red and black star on his left shoulder.
