Bakersfield Police officials say a man was killed in a shooting that occurred on the 700 block of Planz Rd. Saturday just before 4:00 p.m.

BPD officials say the victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was transported from the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification.
