Bakersfield police are investigating a robbery in a Valley Plaza Mall parking lot on Black Friday.
It happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Friday, November 23. Three people were in the mall parking lot, south of the food court, near Forever 21, waiting for a tow truck when they were approached by two men and robbed at gunpoint, police said.
The suspects ran off and were picked up by a dark colored vehicle in a nearby neighborhood on Castro Lane, police said.
One of the victims chased the suspects. That's when one of the robbers pointed a gun in the victim's direction and fired from the vehicle, police said.
No one was injured.
Security at the Valley Plaza Mall said they had no comment.
