Bakersfield Police officials are reporting a stabbing and a shooting that occurred on East 3rd Street Monday morning.
BPD officials said at about 10:35 a.m. officers of they were dispatched to the 800 Blk. of E. 3rd St. for a report of a fight.
When officers arrived, they found two adult males suffering from stab wounds. Both men were taken to a local hospital where they are listed in critical but stable condition.
Several people have been detained for questioning; however, no arrests have been made.
Several streets around the area of E. 3rd and Whitlock have been closed off and it is not known when they will be re-opened.
