BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for community assistance identifying a suspect wanted for auto theft at the Pep Boys Auto Parts and Service store on White Lane.

According to police, On February 19, 2019 at approximately 11:18 a.m. the suspect took the victim's vehicle from the Pep Boys Auto Parts.

The suspect is described as a white man between 35 and 45 years old with a medium build and short brown hair. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The victim's vehicle has since been recovered. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Thomas (661) 477-8466 or BPD at (661) 327-7111.
