One person is behind bars after allegedly driving under the influence and causing a deadly crash Monday morning.
According to Bakersfield Police two cars were heading westbound on East Panama Lane around 3:45 a.m. when the trailing car hit the other from behind causing it to rollover.
The driver of the car that rolled over died at the scene.
The person that hit the car, identified as 25-year-old Fashawn Pearson, was not hurt. Pearson was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Pearson was arrested and faces charges including driving under the influence resulting in death and gross vehicular manslaughter.
