The Bakersfield Police Department says a suspicious object has been found outside of the parking lot of the Ming Avenue Child Development Center, which located on the 1100 block of Ming Ave.

The object was found before 8:30 am Tuesday morning. 

Officials found a bag and later determined that it wasn't a threat. 

As a precaution, Wayside Elementary School and Sequoia Middle school were on lockdown for a while and the lockdown are lifted. 

Traffic in the area have also reopened.
