BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A teenager is behind bars after he allegedly fired off more than three dozen gun shots on New Year's Eve.
According to Bakersfield Police, there were several ShotSpotter activations Tuesday night over about an hour and a half period in the area of 3rd and V Streets.
Police say there were more than 35 shots fired between 10:16 p.m. and 11:54 p.m.

While conducting a follow-up investigation Wednesday night police found expended cartridge casings in the backyard of a home in the area.
BPD later found two handguns and arrested 18-year-old Ramon Toro.
Toro is facing a charge of reckless discharge of a gun.
He is due in court on Friday.
