BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This weekend, the Bakersfield Police Department will be on the lookout for motorists driving under the influence and improper licensing.

BPD says it's holding a checkpoint Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at an undisclosed location.

Officers will be on patrol for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol or drug impairment.

BPD is reminding everyone to do their part in keeping the streets safe.
