Brightwood College in Bakersfield will host a Back to School event Saturday. 

The event is free and open to the public as is invited to kick off the new school year with Brightwood College. 

The event will feature refreshments, crafts, campus tours, information sessions and more. 

Attendees will be entered to win prizes such as Amazon gift cards and backpacks filled with school supplies. 

The back to school event kicks off at 10 a.m. and lasts until noon at the campus located at 1914 Wible Road.
