The local Bakersfield Repair Cafe will be part of a worldwide effort to be open for business during International Repair Cafe Week.
The Repair Cafe will be open on Saturday, Oct. 21 to help people fix broken items.
Volunteer repair experts will be available to help repair broken items including small appliances, computers, furniture, and more.
All of this will be free of charge.
The event will happen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2300 E. Brundage Lane.
