A small brush fire has ignited in Bear Valley Springs, near Cumberland Road and Frontier Way, this morning. 

According the Kern County Fire Department, the fire is about 7 acres, burning at a moderate rate and structures are threatened.

UPDATE 12:12PM: KCFD officials said evacuations have been ordered for Oak Flat Road. An estimated 10 acres have burned so far.

UPDATE 4:30PM: Per KCFD, fire is 40% contained. 44.1 acres burned.
