BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Environmental groups will once again rally against the Trump administration's plan to open more than a million acres of Central California to oil drilling.
Monday, June 10 representatives from the Central California Environmental Justice Network, the Sierra Club and the Center for Biological Diversity will be out at the Bureau of Land Management offices. This will be the second time they meet to discuss the issue.
Officials with the bureau say they have a 45-day comment period which ends this month after which they hope to have plans for drilling finalized by September.
