One person is in custody following an hours-long standoff in Arvin.

According to the Arvin Police Department, officers responded to a burglary in the 300 block of Acala Street around 8:30 Thursday night. 

Kern County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene to assist Arvin police.

After a SWAT standoff the suspect was taken into custody.
