BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A bus tour determined to end child poverty will be making a stop in Weedpatch Saturday.
The End Child Poverty Bus Tour is traveling across the state to encourage California residents to talk with government officials about child poverty.
According to End Child Poverty CA, 450,000 California children live in deep poverty.
The tour will be stopping at the Sunset School, located at 8301 Sunset Boulevard, in Weedpatch. The tour will also be making stops in Fresno, Salinas, Oakland, and Sacramento.
