Kern County and Bakersfield fire officials are trying to figure out what caused an early morning fire in East Bakersfield on Friday.
According to fire officials, the blaze broke out just after 4 a.m. at an office building on Bernard Street between Tulare and Kern streets.
Crews were able to get the fire contained in about 18 minutes, but took extra precautions because it was right next to a tire shop. Crews were able to keep the blaze from spreading.
