Business tax certificates expire on June 30, how to avoid delinquent penalties

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to the city of Bakersfield, all businesses located in or conducting business in the city are required to hold a current business tax certificate or business license.

All business tax certificates expire on June 30, to avoid penalties, business owners should renew their certificates no later than Wednesday, July 31.

Renewals may also be completed in person at the City of Bakersfield, Treasury Office, located on the first floor of City Hall North at 1600 Truxtun Avenue between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).
