BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Surveillance video posted by the Buttonwillow California Highway Patrol shows a vehicle go airborne after it hit a roundabout.
The video posted Sunday on the CHP-Buttonwillow Facebook page shows the video from surveillance video at the Shell station near the roundabout at Highway 119 and Highway 43.
According to the time stamp on the video, the incident happened on Friday, May 22, just before 1 a.m.
The caption said "What’s the quickest way around a roundabout? #senditPlease be safe out there. This is a great reminder of the dangers of driving impaired. Please designate a sober driver."
Officials said the person's car ended up on its side and the driver was taken to jail.
