Residents in Buttonwillow are not happy with the Kern County Sheriffs decision to close down their substation.

Business owners say they need the law enforcement present and are worried of what might happen when the sheriffs aren't around.
Sheriffs will still patrol the area but they will be stationed in Delano.
Residents say they fear more crime and longer response times.
KCSO is making these cuts after being asked by he county supervisors to cut 1% from their budget which means 1.2 million dollars.
The substation will close on February 20th.
