CAL CITY PD, Calif. — On Friday, the California City PD says they've made over 20 arrests in a 72-hour span ahead of Memorial Day Weekend.
According to officials, as of 4 p.m. Friday officers arrested 21 people over the past 72 hours. Cal City PD is also advising drivers that after filling several vacancies within the department there will be an increased police presence over the weekend.
The department will also employ teams from the Volunteers in Police Service to patrol local neighborhoods and keep an eye for suspicious activity. Volunteers from an Off Road Desert Incident Response Team volunteers will be patrolling the desert to monitor visitors on the last weekend of the off-roading season.
