PORTER RANCH, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified 44-year-old Scott A. Bean as the man who crashed into a truck while driving an off-road vehicle Monday in Porter Ranch.
The California City Police Department said Bean was driving an off-road vehicle in the open desert off of Lincoln Blvd. and 20 Mule Rd around 4:30 p.m Monday when he crashed into a truck for unknown reasons.
Police said Bean died at the scene from his injuries.
The investigation is on-going.
