The park is the result of a collaboration between the Kevin Harvick Foundation, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County.
This is the second partnership between the two athletes' foundations, the first resulting in a park in North Carolina. This is also the Ripken Foundation's second youth development park in California.
