In recognition of their 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament appearance and the Western Athletic Conference Championship, a new 20' x 60' banner commemorating the start of another basketball season will be unveiled on Thursday, November 3 at noon.
The banner will hang at the city parking garage at 18th and Eye in downtown Bakersfield.
This banner is part of a larger 'Paint the Town' campaign, an initiative that serves one of the four pillars of the athletics department which is engaging the Bakersfield community. Other banners of similar size will also be displayed on Truxtun Avenue and at the new student-housing buildings on campus at CSUB.
